On Monday the 23 rd of January we walked all the way to Garth Farm as part of our John Muir Award. On the way we made a journey stick that we all had to attach something to.It was a very nice walk, lots of nature and free places, no fences or electric wire. It was really muddy! Luckily I was wearing my nice and warm snow boots, otherwise I would have had mud all at the bottom of my trousers. After a bit of a walk around Garth Farm we came to a what looked like a horse paddock. Mrs Morgans told us to into groups and make a nature picture (a picture made out of twigs and leaves). My group was Olivia and Kisty, we made a tree picture.
After that we were heading back. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bird of prey. We werent sure what it was. When we got back to school we looked it up and found out that it was a common buzzard. It was a really nice trip and I can't wait to go back! I have added some new games in the 'games' section that will help you with our current topic, fractions.
Don't forget you can always try the challenges set on Manga High. Mrs Morgans As part of our Cool Stuff topic we have started looking at urban art. This week we looked at graffiti and created our own graffiti walls.
By Olivia and Lucy I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a good start to 2013. Our new topic for the coming term is Cool Stuff. Can you guess what 'Cool Stuff' we'll be looking at?
This term we will also start The John Muir Award at Garth Farm. I can't wait! See you all on Monday. Mrs Morgans |
