Today we had an Easter egg hunt it started off as a maths problem . We had a sheet of paper with Easter word problems on.We had to work out the problems before going out on to the yard to find the treats. Olivia found loads we were asking her to share. It was a really fun event, the best bit was that you could eat one packed at least because I love sweets and chocolate, sometimes i just cant help myself.when we got into class we ate some sweets then we watched Mr.Bean the movie on the white board as another treat!
by Olivia,Kaitlin and Jorja This morning, after play, we went to the infant department to see the Nursery Easter bonnet parade. We all lined up to see the lovely Easter bonnets . Mrs McComas needed to judges out of the year 5 and 6 who did not have any brother or sisters in the school. She chose me, Levi and Chloe. We stepped out to the front to see all the bonnets but we were not sure which bonnets we were judging. Finally, nursery came out wearing their amazing bonnets we were looking around to see which bonnets were the best (it was a really hard choice). We decided on a winner for the girls and a winner for the boys.
Which bonnet do you think is the best? By Mia Yates Today we had a visit from PC Ellis he told us about alcohol , solvents and drugs . He said people can get very drunk and say horrible things, fight and a lot more he said that cola has 0% alcohol, shandy just a bit and that some drinks that look like pop have loads of alcohol. He came around the tables and gave out some cards and we had to put into piles of things that are legal and illegal.
We learnt never ever sniff a solvent because it can kill you. And he said when we are older we should never take drugs or drink too much alcohol because they are really dangerous they can poison you. NEVER TAKE DRUGS!!!! By Chloe and Chloe We enjoyed searching the playground for QR codes today. Hidden in the codes were maths problems. We had three problems to find and had to answer each one before going on to the next one.
Well done to everyone who took part in our eisteddfod on Friday. Here are the winners from our class:
