Last week we were really lucky to get a tour of The Liberty Stadium. We met a man called Keitho who told us all about the environment, he really made us think about how much electric we use. We went in a tour of the stadium to places like the changing room, pitch and supporters lounge. The trophy cabinet was the highlight of the tour. The Ospreys have won so many trophies including a special one when they beat Australia. We'd all love to go back again.

In cooking club today we made two types of vegetable stir fry with noodles, to celebrate the year of the horse. Delicious and healthy! Paul Phillips came in today for the final time. We put all of our skills into practice and had a fantastic game of tag rugby. Everybody tried hard with tries being scored by Kyle, Tyler, Ross and Katie. A huge thanks to Paul and the Ospreys for arranging it! Our topic this term is Light, Camera, Action. In Science we are looking at Light and Sight. We have started the topic by completing lotus grids and planning our own investigations in groups. The first group to carry out their investigation decided to investigate the effect that different filters have on the brightness of the light. Please come back soon to find out the results... On Friday an Osprey coach came in and we played a game of cricket rugby with him. His name was Paul Phillips. To start off we passed the ball to each other to practice our throwing and catching skills . After that we played a game of cricket rugby.
To play cricket rugby you have to have two teams one fields and one has to kick the ball as high as they can and 4 people from the kicking team has to run and pass the ball, if they do it and don't drop it they get a point then the next person kicks the ball. We played this a few times Finally the coach said we could play what we wanted to play because we were so good. We picked jail and when we were playing Millie fell over. Everyone had a fantastic time. By Millie and Bethany This week we have been 'working with' the story 'Kidnapped' by Pie Corbett. We love his stories in 6M as they engage the reader from the first sentence. This week we; read the story; acted out the story; wrote a diary entry as one of the characters; went on a hunt around Clydach to look for derelict buildings to use as a story setting. We can't wait to plan and write our own versions next week!!! |
