Yesterday Theatr Na'Nog came to our school to tell us about CO poisoning!
First of all they did a play called 'A Breath of Fresh Air' about an old lady called Gloria and her grand son Daf,the grandfather had died of CO poisoning. They went camping because Daf's mother bribed him to go.Gloria was going on about the zumba teacher and how good she was at it. Daf went to the shop and bought a disposal BBQ but Gloria did not like it at all!She said not to put it in the tent.Daf said of course we're not going to put it in the tent because they can cause CO poisoning. After that Gloria waved and said to some girl campers "Hello I am Gloria and this is my grandson Daf and he is single." It was funny! Then they talked about Daf's grandfather which was quite sad.Gloria started crying and she went to the shops while Daf went to bed.He had muppet pjs so some people laughed. Daf woke up and asked Gloria "Where you been". Gloria said"I went to visit the man in the feild over there, he's lovely".Then they talked about the film 'Up'.Daf asked his gran to go on an adventure that she had wanted to go on with Daf's grandfather who has died. The play was really entertaining, funny and sad. Just like the other Theatr Na'Nog play we saw. THE BIG MESSAGE IS CO IS DANGEROUS AND MAKE SURE YOUR BOILER IS CHECKED!! AND YOU HAVE A CO ALARM IN YOUR HOUSE. It could save your life! Please watch our CO Hakka video! by Rosie and Kane.

After watching 'A Breath of Fresh Air', Theatr Na' Nog and Wales & West Utilities asked us to create our own Hakka to warn people about the dangers of CO Poisoning. Here it is...
We enjoyed trying out the guitars, finding out about how they work and then doing an investigation using a box and different size elastic bands. We found out that the shorter the band the higher the pitch of the sound it makes when plucked. This is just like a guitar when you twist the tuner, you make the string shorter.
The sound waves are closer together when the pitch is high.

Today we went to Mrs Downes' class to see a fire woman. She explained how to escape from a fire and how the smoke rises during a fire. Smoke can be black, grey and white, the black smoke can kill you thats why you have to crouch down and crawl. Burning plastic makes black smoke.
She told us that there are lots of ways you can cause a fire like putting hot hair curlers and hair dryers on your bed! Be fire safe and get yourself a smoke alarm! by Kaitlin and Chloe Yesterday the year 6 from our class went on the yard to take out the old plants from our planter. As we were digging we found a vegetable called celeriac. We put all the other old plants in the compost bin then put the tools back the shed.We went in class and put the celeriac in the sink to wash ready to cook on another day.
Have you ever tried celeriac? It is a root vegetable and smells like peppery grass. We are going to try it in school! By Jordan Evan Jones In Welsh lessons we've been writing conversations between two people. We have been using the Welsh sentence fans to help us. This week we started to record our conversations on the i-pad, it was fun! Me and Ewan worked together.
Here are a few of our first attempts. You'd better came back next week though to see the improved versions as people just couldn't stop laughing!! By Noah Today we went to the infants hall to have a whole school assembly. We started off by singing songs. We sang 'Heads and Shoulders' in Welsh and a few other songs. Then we announced the stars of the week. In year6 it was Chelsea, in year 5/6 it was Levi, in year 5 it was Kyle, in year 4 Kyle and in year 3 Dylan. In year 2 the star was Holly, in year 1 it was Abby and finally in reception it was Lola . We then sang a few more songs before leaving the infants department.
