On the 27th March the teachers of Clydach Primary handed out a strips of raffle tickets which were £1.00 a strip. By the time they were all in there were thousands of raffles in the tin. A pupil In year 6m called Megan Willams mum had sold a whole book in work, we would like to thank her for doing that for us .
On monday Chloe, Georgia,Millie,Megan,Bethany and a few other girls went round the classes to ask all the staff in the junior department to buy some raffle tickets. By the end of the week we counted all the money up and there was loads nearly two hundred pound we were all so very shocked, but also so pleased for what we had done for the school. On Friday the 11th of April in assembly all the winners were announced of the raffle and the people chosen were Hayley Punchard : Taylors free mot for her car Darragh Myles: car service from Keep Driving Tony bodyworks: Fresh 2 Lips Voucher Amelia Pike: Chilli Too main meal for two, Jenny Nicholls: Motorbike MOT (donated by Terry Eves) Megan Williams: chocolates (donated by Shannon Cooper) Ethan Willams: body lotion and bubble bath kit Rhys Bird: clock (donated by Cerys Henry) Morganna Maslen: JCB truck and welsh cream (donated by Parker Plant HIre) N Jones is a mystery winner, but has won handy man for a day Andy Adams, (Yellow 216-220) We would to give a big thank you again to MRS MORGANS for doing all this hard work for us and all the money we have raised is going to go towards the year5 and year6 trip to London on the Harry Potter studios and in total for the raffle we had £266.50. A massive thanks to all of the companies and people for donating prizes and to all the people who bought a ticket! by Chloe Young

On the 10th of April Y5&6 aranged 4 discos in our school to raise money for our Harry Potter trip to London. Altogether we have raised £280 pounds in our discos. There were two nursery discos, an infant disco and a junior disco. |
