Last friday we held a Christmas  hat competition  in our school .We went down to the hall  to decide who had won,  Mrs. Thomas (our head teacher)  and Mrs. McComas decided whose were the best. Elliot (me) and Teah won from our class, we got a selection box . Elliot (me)  made a Christmas tree had and Teah decorated a hat with Christmas flowers. We had other good hats in our class too,  Jacob had a reindeer hat and Niamh had a red hat that she decorated with Christmas things. Two or three people from each year won a selection box.

Christmas Dinner in Clydach Junior School

16/12/2011

Today we had Christmas dinner in school. First of all we had to do something called 'sing for your supper' where the whole school had to sing to Mrs Fuge (the cook) because unless we sang she wouldn't serve us. It was really funny because teaching assistants dressed up as santa's little helpers to serve us.

After that the teachers gave out Christmas crackers, me and my friend Katie tried to pull one but we failed so she just did it herself and gave me the bigger part so then I could have the prizes YAY! In my Christmas cracker I had a neon fake nail, a Disney joke and a Christmas hat. One of the teaching assisitants called Mrs Martin had a funny hat that had a moving bobble that went up and down.

The dinner was really nice. We had carrots, sprouts, peas, broccoli, sausage, stuffing, turkey, gravy and ice cream cake for dessert. I struggled to eat it all though as my arm is in plaster (again).

Dance Club is on every Thursday and we all enjoy dancing. Mrs Jones our teacher is fun and a good dancer. We make our own sequences and we are now doing a dance to the song 'Dynamite'. Last term we did a dance to 'Mercy' that we all enjoyed. There are lots of girls in dance club. Anyone can join from year 4,5 and 6.  a girl who used to be in dance called Jasmine she helps mrs jones.

We are doing an assembly for the school and a Christmas show for parents. For Christmas we are doing a new dance and it is not hip hop like we usually do, it is a soft slow dance and it is really good even though it is slow. We all love dancing and we have fun because everybody listens and just dances.
