![]() Yesterday we went on a trip to Caerleon Roman Fortress to see the Roman ruins and artefacts. As soon as we got into school Mrs Morgans did the register, then we walked up the road and got on the bus. When we finally got to Caerleon,we went to see the Roman baths, they were HUGE!!! To the Romans they were like a posh LC2 without any water slides. As we walked around the baths we saw some Roman artifacts things like a Roman solider helmet and armour. We even saw a toilet brush, all it was was a sponge on a stick like putting Sponge Bob on a stick and using him to wipe your bottom. Eventually we got to go in the gift shop, we had to put our bags down before we went in to the shop. I bought a little Roman figure and an arrow pen Lucy bought a toffee waffle with chocolate on it for 65 pence. After we got our stuff from the gift shop we went to the amphitheatre to have a little play.A few of us went right up to the top of the amphitheature and started dancing, then all the other girls were freely running and hiding. Some of the girls were play fighting as Roman soldiers. When we were having the most fun Mrs Morgans called us to go some where else. Miss rounded us all up then we rushed to the museum. When we got in the museum we had to hang up our stuff then a lady told us not to run around or scream and shout, eventually we went off to see all the stuff in the museum. There was a dead body in a coffin,a huge mosaic and lots of Roman gems and jewelry. After a while we had our lunch, finaly! WE WERE ALL STARVING! But as soon as we got in to the little hut it was tiny there was no tables just benches some boys refused to eat their food, but they soon ate it wen Miss said "Ok, fine, don't eat it." Sir said if you had an angle cake or milky bar yogurt you had to give it to him. At the end of the day we went in to the Roman barracks, we had to hang our stuff up again :D and sit down on some benches (Aaron sat on the roman toilets). We went up in to the Roman soldiers rooms and they were tiny! They were for 8 people had to stay in! I dont know how they coped. The man told us what all the Roman weapons were called and we tried on the armour, it was really heavy. We loved the trip to Caraleon, we wish we could do this more often. BY MIA AND LUCY :D :D :D :D
