Last week we furthered our understanding of food chains through a number of methods. We carried out research independently on various woodland animals and created food chains including our animals outside. We labelled our food chains, with such key words as 'Tertiary Consumer', 'Producer, 'Carnivore', etc.
We also developed a game from our PE lesson to enhance our understanding. We have attached photographs below.

We made the most of the sunny day today and enjoyed a really fun game in our PE lesson!
We will now use the game to further our understanding of 'Food Chains'. On Thursday 18th March, we took part in a few team building and fun activities. We completed three separate tasks, one with a tennis ball, a water challenge and a crossing the river task. The tennis ball challenge involved us getting into groups and everyone having to touch the ball within the group in the least amount of time. Water challenge was the best task as it involved us getting soaked, thanks to sir! We had to fill our tray at the finishing line with the most water in the time allocated. The only way we could travel to the tray was by hopping on one leg. Crossing the river challenge involved a lot of team work and strategies for us to be able to cross the river using our mats. Every time we weren't touching the mat, sir would pinch it off us. The more mats you have, the easier it was :) Next week, we will be having a go at another team building activity! Hello everyone, just want to start by wishing you all a happy new year and I hope you all enjoyed a safe Christmas!
